Breathing,
2018
24 Crane Road, The Cranes, Singapore
Breathing was a 2-person exhibition that featured my paintings alongside the works of my brother, Nick who is a ceramicist. A quiet shophouse located at 24 Crane Road, right in the heart of Singapore's Heritage Trail was transformed into an art gallery for a week.
Blue is the central accent of this unique tropical vernacular and it was also the colour scheme of our exhibition. The concept of breath was perceived as the colour blue with its varying shades that would change in tandem with one's own unique breathing. Our works focused on the transcendental aspects of life that are beautiful and fragile - elements that ultimately inspire breath.
